2017 is a very especial year since Blumaq is celebrating its 25th anniversary, a quarter of a century in which this enterprise of Castellón has continuously been expanding, firstly in national market and subsequently in the international one. Taking as an example of this unstoppable process of internationalization: during 2016 Blumaq delivered spare parts products in a total of 154 countries, a really extraordinary number.
We would like to take advantage of the presence of Blumaq in the last edition of Smopyc in order to go deeper with its manager, Vicente Ballester, in the development taken by the company from their beginnings 25 years ago and the challenges set for the immediate future.
<strong>¿How do you describe the situation of the company in this first quarter of a century?</strong>
The enterprise celebrates its 25 years plenty of liveliness. The expansion and international projection remain us very active.
<strong>¿Can you sum up the evolution of Blumaq during these 25 years of history?</strong>
Blumaq’s development has always been positive. In the first 15 years, we enjoyed a high growth in the national market, until the arrival of the crisis, which coincided with the consolidation of the international one. This allowed us to save those years of recession of commercial activity in Spain. Thanks to the entering into a foreign market, we have overcompensated the sharply decline of the domestic market.
<strong>¿Which have been the major events that have defined the growth of Blumaq since 1992?</strong>
The truth is that emerging in the midst of the crisis, in Expo Spain and in the Olympics in Barcelona can define our beginnings as entertaining: First with the opening of each one of the sales office nationally, then, the first subsidiary enterprises abroad. All these accompanied by the participation on fair events and countless trips to visit clients all around the world.
